Transcripts
Read what was said in an episode. When the publisher provides a transcript, the app uses it. When not, the app makes one: a draft shows right away, and the tidied version replaces it when it's ready. Popular episodes often have one ready already.
Chapters
Chapters split an episode into named sections with start times, so you can skip to the part you came for. They come from the show's own chapter data, from timestamps in its show notes, or are made from the transcript.
Episode chat
Ask one episode a question: the main points, the best quote and when it was said, where the guests disagreed, what to do next. Answers come from that episode's transcript and link to the moment in the audio, so you can hear it for yourself.
Podcast Brain
Podcast Brain answers questions across the episodes you've listened to. "What did those two shows say about sleep?" "Where did I hear that book recommended?" Answers name the episodes they came from, and Hear it plays the moment when it can be found.
Brain has four tabs:
- Ask: questions across your listening.
- Ideas: points worth keeping from what you heard.
- Recall: a short review of saved ideas so they stick.
- Signals: what changed recently across your shows.
It only reads episodes that have a transcript. It doesn't search shows you haven't played.

Questions
Is Podcast Brain free?
Yes, up to a daily limit, along with transcripts, episode chat and chapters. Premium ($4.99/month) raises the limits and adds Listen in English, Weekly Brief and claim tracking.
Does it work on every episode?
It works on episodes that have a transcript, either from the publisher or made by the app. If an episode has no transcript yet, the app makes one first and shows its progress.
Do I need it to listen?
No. Playing, downloading and the queue all work without ever opening Podcast Brain. Downloaded episodes play offline; asking questions needs a connection.
